Continuing the call of the Province Assembly to enhance community living, 35 sisters gathered in Nazareth Convent, Chandapura on Dec. 9-10 to participate in a workshop by Fr. Joe Mathias SJ. The two-day workshop titled ‘Fraternal life in the community to promote holiness and wholeness’ focused on the challenges and opportunities for religious in India today.

Elaborating on the dimensions of human person and models of growth, Fr. Joe led us to distinguish the core identity and role identity of our lives and to move toward being icons of Christ in the modern world. One of the sessions was dedicated to the art of carefrontation. Group discussions on both the days resulted in the formulation of concrete steps to make fraternal life in the community – a prophetic sign of God’s Reign. In the evenings of both the days, Sister Teresa Kotturan shared with participants the various engagements of UN and the involvement of the NGOs in ensuring equity and safety to the human race.
