The Sisters of Charity of Nazareth hosted a Watershed Watch workshop on July 10. Watershed Watch is a program to train volunteer “citizen scientists” to monitor water quality in creeks and rivers throughout Kentucky. Volunteers are given test kits to measure pH levels, dissolved oxygen, conductivity, bacteria and temperature at stream sites near them. Volunteers first gathered inside for an informational session, then the group moved outside to Froman Creek to take samples of the water that flows through campus.
