Walking towards social responsibility

True to the spirit of St. Vincent de Paul and Mother Catherine, the X graders of St. Vincent School, Trichy, along with their class teachers paid a visit to Holy Family Children’s Home, Fatima Nagar, Trichy on Sunday 13th November. There were 26 girls, victims of dreaded disease of AIDS and other leprosy patients as well. The students prayed for the inmates and performed a colourful cultural program. The children and the elders thoroughly enjoyed the performance of our students. After the program the students interacted with the inmates and listened to them. Many of the students were moved by the inmates’ sharing of their life. One of the students said,” How privileged and blessed are we to have such wonderful parents to guide and take care of us”. The girls and the elders were grateful that our students spent their valuable time with them. Our presence made them feel loved and cared. The students felt that their sacrifices were worth by seeing the joy and happiness on the face of the inmates. The inmates were appreciative of the time that we spent with them. View more photos.
