Sisters in Pittsburgh and Nazareth marked the 10 year anniversary of the merger of the Vincentian Sisters of Charity and the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth. Special Masses were held to mark the occasion and original VSCs were honored. The midday meal was complete with a celebratory cake.

In Gratitude for the 10 years we mark today that the Vincentian Sisters of Charity from Pittsburgh formally joined in membership with the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth; for their gifts in ministry, the friendships formed and God’s blessing.

Today marks the anniversary of the Founding of the Vincentian Sisters of Charity, when, in 1902, five Sisters of the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul in Szatmar, Rumania arrived at New York Harbor. To read more, click here.
