The students, teachers, SCNs and the people of Sale, Mahuadanr, gave a farewell to Prabha Tirkey, SCN, on Jan. 18. Sister Prabha served them in various capacities as a teacher, friend, companion, nurturer, adviser and mentor to various organisations of the local Church for the last 25 years.

The parish priest, Father Bartholomeo Toppo offered the Eucharist. Two students led Sister Prabha to the altar by throwing petals of flowers on her and welcomed her with tikka. Middle school teachers and students conducted the choir.

A beautiful cultural program was organised to express their deep appreciation and love for Sister Prabha. She said to the students to have a personal relationship with God, to make clear goals in life and to remain focussed to achieve them.

Presently Sister Prabha is the coordinator of the school community in Mahuadanr.
