In recent years, SCNs have challenged themselves to eat more plant-based meals in order to support the mission to care for Earth and to follow General Assembly Directive 4B, to “intensify efforts across the Congregation to address the destruction of natural resources and the… environmental crisis.” As SCNs and SCN Associates, the most impactful thing most of us can do to address climate change is reduce the amount of meat in our diets.

The Office of Ecological Sustainability featured SCNs and SCN Associates giving cooking classes on how to cook plant-based meals. Now the department shares the recipes written down and compiled into a booklet.
