The Golden Journey of Seven SCNs, Sisters Mary Chackalackal, Mary Joseph Pamplaniel, Mary Stella Ambrose, Rita Puthenkalam, Sarita Manavalan, Shalini D’Souza and Sophia Kalapurakal was celebrated on 26th October 2013 at Nazareth Convent, Chandapura, Bangalore. It was for the first time that Bangalore Province hosted such a celebration. Over 250 family members, friends and SCNs gathered as we praised God for the seven times fifty years of blessings we have been bestowed upon through the lives of these sisters. The Eucharistic celebration included a short video presentation of the life story of the jubilarians. The celebrant Fr. Mathew Chemplany of Patna Jesuit Province recalled his personal association with each of the sisters. The melodious choir conducted by S. Vimala Rani added spirit to the celebration. In a short felicitation program held after the Eucharist, Sr. Ann Palatty felicitated the Jubilarians while the Pre-Novices and Candidates entertained the gathering with a couple of dances and a choral recitation on the books of Bible. A delicious dinner that followed led to joyous interaction among the family and friends of the Jubilarians. The entire event was coordinated by S. Sheela Palamoottil, the Vice Provincial and S. Suma Muthukattu under the guidance of S. Ann Palatty. The three hour celebration was indeed a feast to remember for a long time.

On 27 October, the members of Bangalore Province felicitated the silver jubilarians Srs. Mary Bridget Lakra, Basanti Lakra, Smita Karikkattil, Mary Margaret Nirmala, Mary Basanti Besra, Hilda Lobo and Usha Saldanha. S. Jessie Margaret Saldanha could not be present for the occasion. The Silver Jubilarians have been attending a 40 day program at Bangalore as part of their renewal.
