In celebration of the 186th birthday, Presentation Academy family members gathered for the Feast of the Presentation of Mary – the Academy’s Feast Day in honor of the founding of the school by the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth. Hundreds of students and their Grandparents enjoyed the day and a Thanksgiving liturgy at the Louisville, Kentucky academy.
During the homily, Father Joe Graffis gave thanks to Mother Catherine Spalding and the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth for building the foundation of the Presentation Academy and for their ministries in Louisville and around the world. He also thanked the SCN family members for continuing to support the academy which promotes academic excellence and inspires young women to be their best.
Sisters and Associates make up the Presentation Academy family including SCNs Susan Kilb, Amina Bejos, Edna Fabre, and SCN Associate Joetta Davis. Sharon Cecil, SCNA, was also in attendance.
