Many thanks to each of you who came out to visit the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth booth at the State Fair. It was the first time the Congregation hosted a booth at the fair and it seemed a fitting outreach opportunity as we celebrate 200 Years of Ministry!
We had hundreds of people who stopped by to thank a Sister for teaching, caring for, or ministering to them. Many asked about what had become of their former teachers, were they still alive, where were they living, could they receive letters and/or visitors? Others signed our book asking to be held up in prayer. These prayer requests were especially touching to the Sisters who will remember each of these people daily in their prayers at the Motherhouse.
Still others stopped by the booth to have their photo taken while standing behind a wooden cut out of Mother Catherine. We encourage you to share these photos with us via Facebook. Below are photos from the opening day of the State Fair and from the day we packed up. Thanks again to all who volunteered and to all who came by to say hello!
