“This is a moment of thanksgiving for your creative and daring leadership – our song of gratitude rises up.”

“May an abundance of gratitude burst forth as you reflect upon the years of leadership through which you touched many lives.”

“May you discover a cache of hidden wisdom among the people and events that have brought you challenges and pain.”

So read the introduction to the Holy Eucharist as the Sisters of Bangalore province gathered on May 31, 2017, at Nazareth Convent, Chandapura to express immense gratitude to the outgoing team of leaders, Sister Ann Palatty, the provincial, Sister Sheela Palamoottil, vice-provincial, and sisters Beena Chirackal (vice-provincial elect) and Blanche Correia, the board members for their dedicated years of service as leaders of the new Province from 2012 – 2017.

The community of Sisters felt the absence of Sister Ann Palatty as we recalled with love and gratitude the accompanying strength of Sr. Ann in each of their lives. In the liturgy of the Eucharist, Sisters sought the blessings of God to be upon each of them as they move on in life.

After the Eucharistic celebrations, the outgoing leaders were felicitated in a short cultural program presented by young members of formation and students of Nazareth School, Chandapura. This indeed was a moment to remember the wonderful five years that Sisters journeyed together as a province under the leadership of these Sisters who have dared to make a difference to the SCN mission in the Bangalore Province – inviting them to look towards new horizons and even beyond.
