The Nelson County Human Trafficking Task Force welcomed Kentucky Attorney General Andy Beshear to their monthly meeting today. Beshear is working to eradicate human trafficking in Kentucky. President Susan Gatz, SCN, welcomed the group, which included politicians, social workers, attorneys, educators, law enforcement, and SCNs. Several members of the media also attended. Task force members addressed the group, including Mary Boyce who presented a history of the task force, which began in 2010. Beshear said he appreciated the wonderful opportunity to meet with and address the Nelson County Human Trafficking Task Force. He said, “It’s about justice.” He praised the SCNs and the Task Force for their work over the last seven years, saying “when you combine work and purpose, you get mission.”
