SCNs were able to attend one of two sessions at the Motherhouse Campus, Nazareth, Kentucky, to learn more about the sustainability initiatives taking place across the Congregation. Carolyn Cromer, the director of ecological sustainability, shared a number of steps being taken to reduce the Congregation’s carbon footprint. Recent examples include landscaping with native species plants at Nazareth, the installation of efficient and green lighting, and carefully carrying out and reviewing the recent waste audits. Carolyn thanked the Sisters for all the ways they live out the mission of care of the earth.
