Tess Browne, SCN, was among the individuals who stood with employees of Stop & Shop Supermarkets. Employees had been on strike due to proposed cuts to health care, take-home pay and other benefits. A tentative agreement between company officials of Stop & Shop Supermarket and their employees was reached on Easter. The agreement includes wage increases for all associates and maintains health coverage and retirement benefits. The stores are the largest grocery chain in the region of Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut. Members of the union will need to ratify the three-year agreement.
