Sister Luke accompanied 20 students and six chaperones from St. Joe Church Youth Ministry to the Appalachian region of Kentucky for a cross-cultural partnership with people. They were cleaning, staining, painting, and repairing six trailer homes in the area as part of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth Lay Mission Volunteer Program.

“What a wonderful experience being with these young people from St. Joseph’s Cathedral in Bardstown. I was totally amazed at how hard they worked and how well they related to the people in Beattyville, Kentucky. Many of them want to stay connected to the SCN community. May God continue to bless them on their journey in life.”
