St. Mary’s Pre-School wins Championship
St. Mary’s had practiced strenuously for this big event as the children looked forward to the day. It was very tough competition, but with hard work and determination, St. Mary’s took first place! Congratulations to the principal and staff for their hard work to achieve first position.
The event was to give an emphasis on health and wellness from an early age. It held on May 19 by the Department of Social and Welfare Community Development. Principal Education Officer Tiny Ntshinogang said the aim was to unearth children’s talent for them to develop into athletes before they reach upper levels. He also said the idea was to create a platform for the young children to interact socially and to build their self esteem and confidence.
Lobatse Town Sports master Mathews declared “St. Mary’s Pre-School is crowned 2016 champion,” after accumulating 210 points out of 250, winning five gold medals, four silver medals, and 11 bronze against 18 other schools.
