Last week (Thursday April 7), four SCNs from Pittsburgh presented Slovak Easter traditions to a group of Vincentian Villa residents and guests from the Pittsburgh area. The Sisters shared information about various traditions and customs and served a sampling of ethnic foods. A display allowed audience members to interact with the Sisters, ask questions and share stories. It was a wonderful way for the Sisters to reach out to the community. Audience members thoroughly enjoyed the presentation, story telling and delicious foods!
Vincentian Villa is part of the Vincentian Collaborative System which also operates four long-term care facilities in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area. At each, we strive to show a special gift for caring –for people, for their values and traditions, for their families and concerns.
