Overwhelmed with joy and surprise, Luke Boiarski, SCN, received a box as a gift this week from Alive in You – Catholic Conference and Service Camp. The box contained a donation and many letters from a group of young people who attended their summer camp. The letters were thanking SCNs for their lives dedicated to God and to ministry.

Alive in You, a Catholic Conference and Service Camp, serves around 2,000 Catholic teenagers every summer. Their goal is to educate and to motivate young people to open their heart and deepen their relationship with Christ. The Alive in You experience provides young people the opportunity to develop and live their rich Catholic faith through the Eucharist, Reconciliation, Mass, Service, Prayers, and Team Building.

This year, Alive in You focused on the theme of Unity which emphasized the Holy Trinity. During summer camp, the participants learned about different Catholic Religious Orders and Communities. The participants picked out several religious communities to pray for and with whom to communicate, the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth was one of them. Participants wrote dozens of letters to the Sisters which are on display in the Motherhouse dining room in Nazareth, Kentucky.

Jim Weir, in ministry with Alive in You, wrote to the Congregation saying the participants of this camp asked that the Sisters pray for them, for their parishes and their youth ministry. They hope the Sisters will enjoy the letters. They also wish to receive letters from the Sisters too. If any Sisters would like to write back to the teenagers, you can send letter to the following contact
