SCNs in Bangalore celebrate the perpetual vows of sisters

Sisters Jansel and Josephine Arul pronounced their perpetual vows on May 6, 2017 at Nazareth Convent, Chandapura in the presence of SCNs, Priests, religious from other congregations and their family members. In a solemn Holy Eucharist presided over by Fr. Xavier Manavath CMF, Episcopal Vicar for Religious, Archdiocese of Bangalore, the congregation witnessed and celebrated the courageous commitment of these two young sisters to a live as Jesus to the world around them. Sister Ann Palatty, Provincial received the vows of these sisters as delegate of President of the Congregation. Congratulating the sisters on their committed journey so far, Fr. Xavier elucidated on the meaning of evangelical counsels. Sr. Ann Palatty welcomed the sisters as full-fledged members of the congregation by symbolically gifting the SCN pendant on a chain. Sr. Josephine expressed gratitude to every person who accompanied them in this beautiful journey as SCNs. She particularly remembered with deep gratitude Late Sr. Cecily Velleringatt, their novice director. The spiritual celebration was followed by a fellowship meal. For everyone present, it was a moment to celebrate the brave decision of these young sisters to be signs of God’s love to the world.
