Congratulations to Sister Filomina Bhengra, Sister Joy Baxla, Sister Jyoti Tudu, Sister Monica Hansdak, Sister Nicola Lepcha, Sister Priya Urau (Toppo), Sister Salima Ekka, Sister Salma Lepcha, Sister S. R. Jharna Rani and Sister Swastica Kiro who made their first vows in Mokama on May 4, 2019. As the representative to the SCN president, Sangeeta Ayithamattam, Philomena Kottoor, SCN, provincial, received their vows. The main celebrant, Rev. Edward Mendonca, SJ, parish priest of Barbhiga concelebrated the Eucharist with six other priests.

In his homily, Rev. Oswald Saldanha, SJ, told the novices that they are 10 wise virgins, chosen specially by God. There were over 200 guests including family members, friends, relatives, priests, SCN Associates, SCNs, novices, and candidates. All enjoyed a festive lunch and the newly professed went for their home visit with their parents on the same day.
