Teresa Kotturan, SCN, NGO representative of the Sisters of Charity Federation to the United Nations (UN) in New York, was invited by the principal, Rev. T. Nishant, SJ, to speak to the students of St. Xavier’s College of Management and Technology, Patna in Bihar, India.
She gave an orientation to over 1,000 students on the UN system and how NGOs collaborate with the UN to bring policy changes through advocacy at the global level which can benefit all people living in poverty on Feb. 26, 2019. She also presented the 2030 agenda for Sustainable Development Goals and how the students can engage themselves to implement this agenda in their own localities to transform our world.
