We began our meeting at the beautiful retreat center of the Sisters of Charity with an afternoon of prayer. Some of us walked the lovely labyrinth.
The next day our meeting agenda took us into discussions of the “shared future” of the Federation, connections with the Vincentian Family, the Assembly of the Whole in June 2019 and various business items such as the budget.
On Thursday morning we had a meeting by zoom with the 4 board members who could not be with us in person.
The Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill who staff the retreat center are wonderfully hospitable.
They have gone out of their way to serve us special Korean dishes such as bimbimbap – a rice dish with mixed vegetables – and Kimchi, fermented cabbage.
On Wednesday evening they invited a professional dancer who is the niece of S. Young Son, and a young woman who plays the Haegeum, a traditional string instrument, to perform for us.
