Mary Angela Shaughnessy, SCN, J.D., Ph.D. presented a session at an International Faculty Development Program sponsored by Jyoti Nivas College in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India this week. The webinar entitled “Reconfiguring the Mind: Post COVID Consciousness” featured speakers from around the world. Sister Mary Angela’s presentation on “Values Education: An Integral Part of Formal Education” was met with great appreciation. Participants commented that the session was “brilliant” and “informative”.

Mary Margaret Nirmala, SCN, Ph.D. in the Department of Mathematics at Jyoti Nivas College, served as an organizer for the international program. She said,  “Dr. Mary Angela Shaughnessy SCN enthralled over 1000 faculty from various parts of the country with her passionate address on Values in formal education. Apart from delivering her experiential knowledge of over 30 years, she responded to various questions from participants. I have had one of the most pleasing experiences of interacting with her as an organizer of the event. The challenge of different time zones did not deter Angie from being present to us from 1:00 a.m – 3:00 a.m EST. Our whatsapp groups have been flooded with amazing reviews about Angie’s session. Thank you Angie.”
