St. Peter Claver Parish, Punta Gorda, Belize commissioned 13 catechists. After nine months of intensive training these men and women received their certificates to work in their respective village churches. These catechists came from 12 villages in the Toledo District. Catechists are key in sustaining the Catholic faith in the remote villages of Toledo.
Rev. Sam Wilson, SJ, and Higinia Bol, SCN, facilitated instructions in ecclesiology, scripture, homiletics, communion service, and sacraments. Their journey to Punta Gorda for Cursillo is complete, however, their ministry in their church has just begun!
Blessings on your work and all the people your care for spreading the good news!
