Day three is in the books and the volunteers have surged forward in the building process. Not only were the walls lifted into place, but the roof was also completed ahead of schedule due to impending rain in the forecast for tomorrow. The sun continued to beat down on the hot tin as the last roofing nails were hammered into place and the volunteers began installing the window trim and painting a second coat on the exterior walls. Ms. Jennifer (the future home owner) personally selected both of the shades to be used on the walls and trim. Jennifer was on site all day working hand in hand with the team to construct her home. She even celebrated with a cheer as the walls fell into place! Friday will be a special day for her for two reasons: receiving the keys to her very first home and also celebrating her 53rd birthday!
