SCNs Celine Osbourn, Dorothy Jackson,
Judy Raley, and Trudy Foster and SCN Associates Betsy Kammerdiener, Jerry
McCrary, Deb Moore, Karen Frank, and Karen Sloan were part of the Missioning
Service for Larry Schumacher as Chief Executive Officer of CHI Memorial Health
System on March 22.

As Board Chair, Sister Judy welcomed those attending and reflected
on the reading from Wisdom 7:7-8, 23-25. She shared the characteristics
of wisdom as exemplified in the lives of Catherine Spalding, Marie Victoria Fitzsimmons and Thomas de Sales Bailey. She
pointed to Mother Bertrand Crimmins’ commitment to extending the mission of the
Sisters of Charity of Nazareth to Chattanooga in 1952.

Sister Judy led the Missioning Service
and she and Sister Celine presented Larry with a candle, Bible and framed copy of the
Catholic Health Initiatives Mission Statement and core values as symbols of his
commitment as he promised to carry out his responsibilities as leader of CHI
Memorial. Members of the Board of Directors, Medical Staff, Executive
Team and Managers, Memorial Associates and Volunteers affirmed their commitment
to support Larry in his ministry.
