The Chattanooga SCNAs were honored to participate in a local community-wide initiative called FUSE. This program, run by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, helps those suffering from mental illness to find permanent supportive housing with the goal of ending homelessness, restoring health and well-being, finding a job, and reconnecting with family and friends. The Chattanooga SCNAs supported this effort by providing a “home starter kit” to furnish an apartment with basic essentials from sheets and towels, kitchenware, to a new bed.
There are 40+ FUSE Programs across the nation. If you are interested in more information about a FUSE program in your area, please visit https://www.csh.org/fuse.
