Students of Nazareth School, Chandapura, Bangalore, went on a day of community service to Snehadaan, a community care centre for people living with HIV where provided is care, treatment & support for the sick, especially the marginalised. They were accompanied by Hilda Lobo, SCN, the principal of Nazareth School.

Reflecting on this day of service, one student, Arpan said, “When we reached there we could not believe our eyes. Little children who are suffering from HIV were sweeping, cleaning the place, washing their clothes, taking care of animals, and doing lots of other work. We could not just stand there, but wanted to help them. We rushed to them to be of some help. … One thing made me very sad that we could not help them every day. We just enjoyed those few hours in their company.”

A student of class X, Jesmaria said, “We returned to school very sad, thinking about the children and patients. We have seen only one part of thousands of the children suffering from HIV and Aids. Here they get quality care. What about the rest of the children around the world? This made us think about the service we can give to all those who are in need. We are grateful to God for giving us parents who care for us and provide all that we need.”
