A potluck luncheon was held today for residents and staff of Nazareth Villages I & II.   Jean Culver of the Residents Council hosted by organizing and coordinating the event. Bob Pyle cooked the turkey, residents and staff provided the full course meals with all the trimmings, turkey and dressing, mashed potatoes with gravy, peas and carrots, sweet potatoes, turnip greens, pork n’ beans, spinach, deviled eggs, strawberry, celery, oatmeal cookies, Paula Dean’s Gooey Butter Cake, Chocolate cake, yellow cake and a wonderfully decorated shamrock cake. The residents welcomed Nora Ballard, the new Director, with a special card which each resident signed and a spring flower arrangement.

Everyone in attendance with a March Birthday also received a gift. Everyone enjoyed sharing this community spirited event. Afterwards the residents cleaned up, moved table and chairs, did the dishes and delivered a few meals to some of the residents who were not able to attend. A good time was had by all!

Nazareth Villages residents occupy 101 HUD Section 8 and 45 affordable rent apartments on the Nazareth, KY campus.
