Preranalaya Social Development Center

The newly constructed building of Preranalaya Social Development Center (PSDC) of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth at Musunuru, India, was inaugurated on April 18, 2017, by Sister Sheela Palamoottil, vice provincial of Bangalore. Most Rev. Thelagathoti Joseph Raja Rao, SMM, Bishop of Vijayawada blessed the structure in the presence of Sisters, priests, representatives from Musunuru civil society, the Christian community, PSDC staff, Br. Emmanuel the engineer, and contractor Narayan Rao.

In the presence of over 500 participants, a Holy Eucharist was celebrated seeking God’s blessings upon the endeavors of PSDC. Fr. Varghese OMI inaugurated St. Vincent’s Hostel building. Appreciating the ministry of Sisters in the empowerment of women and children, the Bishop encouraged people to cooperate with the Sisters and be empowered in their lives. Following the custom of the locals, special guests were honored with shawls. Sister Sheela, on behalf of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth, expressed gratitude to the church and civil authorities for their continued support to the Sisters. The joyous occasion concluded with a delicious meal and all present expressed their blessings and wishes for the success of PSDC.
