Sister Sincy and Sisters from Anakkampoil are grateful for the overwhelming response of prayers, and they provide this update.
A number of landslides have occurred in different parts of Anakkampoil after the cloud burst of June 12. Many families, including families of our students, have lost their properties. Roads have become rivers. We have no direct access to pick up the students and an additional 10 km drive is needed to ensure students get to school. Since it rains torrentially the roads may not be rebuilt soon. However people are safe so far. Thank God.
The school reopened on June 12 instead of June 1 (because of a virus scare) and the district collector has declared a holiday on June 13 as well. The school may be closed for the whole week.
Thank you for your continued prayers.
