Pittsburgh Campus helps homeless during Lent

Each year during Lent, the Sisters at St. Louise and
Caritas along with Pittsburgh Campus employees and the residents of Vincentian
Villa donate money for much needed food
items for the Jubilee Soup Kitchen who serve the homeless and needy in the
Pittsburgh Hill District. After talking with the director, Corrine Giel, SCN, set out with a shopping list to meet the clients’ needs.

Sister Corrine said, “We purchased 283 cases
of food items along with two large turkeys, two large hams, and 20 pounds of
kielbasa. They are always very grateful. They come out to the car with big
smiles and unload the van for us. This experience is always very moving for us.”
