SCN Sisters join hands with the pain and palliative care (PPC) group in Anakkampoil parish. Sincy Sebastian, SCN, is an active member of the group to plan for its programs and takes lead in visiting families who needs the presence of this group.

There are nine members in the group. They take turns to visit the patients who are on palliative care. During Onam, (harvest festival of Kerala) the PPC distributes food kits to these families. Marian school students collect rice for the kit. All items needed for a festive vegetarian meal are in the kit.

Each month, the PPC gives Indian rupees five hundred to a needy family for medicines which is donated by the parishioners. They also give wheelchairs, stretchers and water mattresses to the patients according to the need. There are over fifty patients who are on palliative care who have terminal cancer, paralysis, and age-related illnesses.

Twice a month the mobile health clinic of Thamarassery diocese comes for a free check-up and distributes medicine free of cost to the palliative care patients.
