Sister Joetta Venneman shared with the Sisters in Pittsburgh on the U.S. Catholic Bishops most recent pastoral on racism entitled, “Open Wide Our Hearts: the enduring call to love.” The discussion included racism, racist acts, what having an advantage or white privilege is and how it looks to people of color, and how to become an ally with people of color or a different ethnicity. Sister Joetta led the same sharing and discussion at Vincentian Academy with a senior religion class focusing on social justice.

Let's stay in touch.
