Sisters Amrita Manjaly, the provincial, Beena Chirackal, vice provincial, Manisha Azhakath, Nimmie and Jessie Saldanha, board members, were installed in a Eucharistic celebration on June 1 at Nazareth Convent, Chandapura, Bangalore. Representing the outgoing leadership team, Sister Sheela Palamoottil led the five sisters in procession and anointed them to be filled with wisdom and understanding. Praying for the grace of office to be showered upon all of them, Sr. Sheela symbolically handed over a staff and keys to the office of the provincial to Sister Amrita. The incoming leadership was presented with the photo of the first batch of SCNs. Responding to the call to leadership, the five sisters pledged to be faithful stewards, to live a spirit of cooperation and accepted the leadership role as a sacred trust. Coordinating the day’s organization was Sr. Vijaya, chairperson of the government committee, Bangalore province along with Sisters Lilly Joseph and Elsy Vettickal. Prior to the fellowship meal, Sister Amrita thanked the members of the local community at Chandapura and the members in formation for the untiring cooperation rendered by them during the two days of celebrations.
