Children from the age of 8 to 12 years were taken in from the streets of Surkhet by government agencies. They were accommodated in Bhairav Youth Empowerment Center temporarily. It is a center where young drug addicts are being reformed. All the children are runaway cases from their homes in Surkhet and nearby districts. They need to be re-addicted and disciplined before they can be handed over to their guardians.

Since an appeal was made for support, Navjyoti provided groceries such as rice, pulse, oil, soybeans, biscuits, noodles and spices to last a month. Children seemed happy and their behavior has improved considerably during the past two weeks. Navjyoti Center handed over the items to the authorities of the center on Jan. 22 2018.
