Mokama Nazareth Hospital Nurses Alums Hold Annual Gathering

Members of the Mokama Nazareth Hospital Nurses Alums had their annual gathering at India Gate on April 5th under the leadership of Nirmala Mulackal, SCN. Lucy Puthukkatt, SCN, from Dharuhera came to Nazareth Kunj to join the local community to proceed to India Gate. There were about 17 nurses that came. Some of them completed their morning shift and came to the event. A few others went on duty soon after the event.

The day was cool and the spot chosen was delightful — a good view of India Gate, lots of trees, a cool breeze and traffic rolling along on all sides. The program began with a prayer by Sister Nirmala and then the singing of Mata Mokama ki Rani. Each person in turn briefly shared about themselves. It was very heart-warming to hear several of them express gratitude for their time in Mokama. Rosamma Kavi said, “whatever I am today is all because of the training I received at Nazareth Hospital Mokama.”

This sentiment was expressed by others as well. It was a delight to see the joy of the nurses in being with each other. Philomena Thomas (president) conducted the meeting. Molly Das (secretary) read out the minutes of the last meeting and Kochurani (treasurer) gave an account of the finances. The meeting ended with a song of praise and thanks for all the blessings received.
