Miriam Louise Hauser, SCN, 87, a native of Fort Thomas, Kentucky, died at Nazareth Home, Louisville on Wednesday, September 14, 2016. Sister had been a professed SCN for 61 years.

Sister Miriam Louise served in elementary, secondary and collegiate education in Kentucky, Tennessee, and Massachusetts for 19 years. In Louisville, Sister Miriam Louise served at Holy Family, St. Pius X and St. Matthias Schools and in the business office at Spalding College, later Spalding University. Sister served in health care at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky from 1976-88; in community service at the SCN Center and the Nazareth Campus from 1988-2010. In retirement, Sister served in the Apostolate of Prayer. Because of health issues, Sister Miriam Louise moved to Nazareth Home, Louisville in June 2016.

Sister Miriam Louise is survived by two sisters, Martha Ann Hauser of Southgate, Kentucky and Diane Hauser Ratliff of Alexandria, Kentucky, and by her religious community.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Vincent Church, Nazareth, Kentucky at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 20, 2016, followed by burial in Nazareth Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at Nazareth Home and after 4 p.m. in St. Vincent Church, Nazareth, Ky. on Monday, September 19, 2016. There will be a Prayer Service in St. Vincent Church at 6:30 p.m. Monday evening.
