Hello to everyone! I have had the wonderful opportunity to meet many of you but want to tell you a little about myself and my family. I am the new assistant director of the Lay Mission Volunteer Program and am very excited to be on this dynamic team, working with so many beautiful and dedicated people in the Office of Mission Advancement.
My husband, Bill and I are both from Bardstown and have been married for 31 years. Our children, Josh (28), Hannah (27) married to Steven Sexton of Springfield, and Lauren (21) have brought us more joy than we could have ever imagined. Some of the things we enjoy together are UofK football and basketball (yes, we bleed blue), spending time with our extended families, going to the lake, hiking, kayaking, golfing, playing cards or board games and traveling to new places.
One of the greatest joys of my life in addition to faith and family, is spending time with and serving those in need. Through the many years raising my own children and working with the youth of our parish and community, I have seen how hearts are changed through kindness, service and simply being with people at their time of need. I look forward to this great chapter in my life and the wonderful experiences ahead and getting meet and know each of you.
With a Grateful Heart,
Ellen Sprigg
