When my dad, a Baptist Christian, was dying from emphysema at a local hospital, Sister Mary would go daily to visit him and offer him the peace of the Lord. She was, despite our not being Roman Catholics, a Godsend to our family and especially my dad…..She saw no denominational difference, preferring to recognize ALL Jesus followers as members of one big family of faith. At the funeral home, Sister stood by the casket, weeping for a man she would miss ministering to. I am sorry to read of her passing but i firmly believe that if anyone is in the arms of the Lord, this dear, devoted Christian lady is . .
I remember her from Our lady of Sorrows, Memphis. She had an amazingly animated Love of Our Lord and the Holy Spirit and was not afraid to show it!! God Bless Her and All who were fortunate enough to be associated with this amazon Vessel of God’s Love and Goodwill!!
Thank you for sharing your connection to her. She was my great-aunt. This was lovely to read …
What year(s) did Sister serve at Most Blessed Sacrament in Louisville? I attended school there from 1960 to 1969.
Sister Mary Immaculata or as I have known her my Aunt Natalie will be dearly missed by all the Grabiel family. Her faithful love and prayers for each of us, her indomitably unique spirit, and her appreciation of God’s natural world will be forever engraved in our hearts and lives. Go sweetly Aunt Natalie into the arms of the Lord you so faithfully served.
