It was a special day for Sister Alfreda Crantz. She turned 100 last Thursday and while she did not want to have a party, Mary & Elizabeth Hospital wanted to celebrate her decades of service.

WLKY Television was there for the special occasion. They reported Sister Alfreda joined the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth in 1950 and later accepted a job in the hospital’s emergency room. She still ministers at the hospital and volunteers in the gift shop. As a gift, Sister Alfreda received 100 roses and 100 birthday cards.

Let's stay in touch.
