For the first time, 30 women and girls from Loukhi area joined the Koshi Gaupalika (Village Development Centre) women’s group to celebrate the International Women’s Day on March 8, 2018. SCNs Cornelia Ekka and Reema Tigga encouraged them to participate in the celebrations wholeheartedly. Many women from other self-help groups were also present. Navjyoti Centre, Loukhi in Dharan has formed a few self-help groups among women and young girls in the villages. In adrSister Cornelia addressed the group to organize themselves to stand for their right and dignity. She was recognized and honored with a garland for her contribution to the development of the women of the area. Students of Navjyoti tuition and tailoring center took part in the cultural program organized for the day.
