Sister Louellyn Russell finds many ways to help others
Sister Louellyn Russell spent many years as a certified massage therapist. She and her faithful dog have offered their own special touch to many Sisters and others at Nazareth Home. For the past three years, Sister has been involved in the volunteering ministry including sitting with the sick when needed. When asked what keeps her going , Sister Louellyn replied, “Knowing that what I am doing is helping others.”
Sister Louellyn also ministers part-time at St. Theresa Parish. She was very affirmed when the participants of her “Life Review Program” requested follow-up sessions.
One of Sister Louellyn’s most joyful experiences is working with Sister Margaret Regina at the “Candy for Caring” shop. Her specialty is almond brittle, the shop’s top seller. Sister Louellyn describes Margaret Regina as “Making work fun!” and invites others to join in this “delicious endeavor.”
