Chakarram Kurs Veer group with the animator and SCNs Anash Anima Mundu and Seema Joy Kujur

During the Diwali and Chhatt (sun god festival) holidays in Bihar, SCN students, Anash Anima Mundu and Seema Joy Kujur pastorally reached out to the children of St. Mary’s Church, Chakarram in Patna. They accompanied the thirteen Kruz Veer (Soldiers’ of Christ) children from the parish to Mokama for the Archdiocesan Krus Veer rally on Oct. 29, 2016.

Close to 700 Krus Veer children, priests, animators and religious sisters from the Archdiocese of Patna attended the Krus Veer rally from Oct. 29-31, 2016 in Mokama. At the 5.00 pm inaugural function on October 29th, Father Andrews Raja, the parish priest of Mokama, hoisted the Krus Veer flag. He also welcomed the new Archdiocesan Krus Veer director, Father Augustine Hembrom. In keeping with the ‘Year of Mercy, the theme for the rally was “The Merciful Love of God”.

Based on the theme, the children were occupied with prayer, Eucharist, various competitions like dance, singing, drama, and other recreational activities. Chakarram Catholic children won the first prize in the singing competition and the third prize for the Bible quiz. Sister Anash Anima and Seema taught the children a melodious song of Jesus, ‘Merciful Love of God’, in Hindi. Prathima Kanaplala, SCN, prepared the children for the quiz.

Fathers Hridayraj and Rakesh Roshan spoke to the children about the importance prayer in their lives and the life history of St. Mother Teresa of Kolkata.

Five SCNs helped out with the rally. All of them are actively involved in preparing and accompanying the Krus Veer children in Bakhtiarpur Mokama, Rajgir, and Chakaram parishes.
