Sisters are mobilizing to visit with those affected by the Western India floods. Read some of their first accounts inside.

A red alert has been issued for three districts on Tuesday as extremely heavy rains are expected in central Kerala as the flood-hit northern parts were slowly limping back to normalcy and the toll climbed to 88.

From Sister Joicy: “Sister Vandana and myself, along with Valsa, and our staff visited three camps in our locality, especially the tribals, who are affected so much. One young couple from Pazhasi Colony died in the sudden water flow due to the cloudburst in the nearby hills. They were sharing and reliving their experiences. Please keep all of us in your prayers. Rain is a bit less. But more rain is predicted. Thank you very much.”

From Sister Amrita: “We are visiting Balur Javle, Kuve, affected by the floods. Sisters Hilda, Deepti and Celine are visiting villages affected by the torrential rain and floods in Banakal.
