The Kentucky Home Solar Tour kicked off at Nazareth on October 5. Around 70 people were in attendance to learn about solar energy, ride in electric vehicles and see a solar glider in action. Susan Gatz, SCN, welcomed the group and shared about the mission of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth and all of the earth-friendly efforts of the Congregation. The group went on to tour four additional solar homes in the area. Maggie Hettinger, who plays music for Sunday Mass at Nazareth, is a glider pilot and gave a special expanded presentation that afternoon.
