In commemoration of International Seniors Day on Oct. 1, celebrated under the theme “Celebrating Older Human Rights Champions”, LIFE celebrated with the seniors it serves. On Sunday, Sept. 30 the seniors joined in the 9 a.m. Mass at St. Martin De Porres Church celebrated by Dr. Brian Christopher, SJ, and Fr. Jeremy Zipple, SJ. On Monday, Oct. 1 the seniors came out to be pampered. Volunteers came out to offer manicure, pedicure, hair braiding, perms, and barbering.
“To all seniors, we at LIFE would like to wish you a happy International Seniors Day. We also want to say a big thank you to all volunteers and donors that made the day possible,” says Carlette Gentle, SCN
