Sisters and Associates gathered at the Catherine Spalding House in Brockton, Massachusetts. Welcomed by Sisters Ann Whittaker and Anne Marie O’Shea’s generosity and hospitality, they shared food, laughter, and much gratitude for God’s goodness and care for the larger Sisters of Charity of Nazareth community during these last 15-16 months of the pandemic.
Sister Tess reports the following about the day: “We remembered community members, loved ones, and colleagues who had died. We asked the Creator’s continued graces upon us and our global family. We blessed Marietta (Putzig), who will be leaving Massachusetts this coming Sunday to drive down to live and minister at Nazareth. We prayed for safe travels for Marietta and for Barbara Gilmetti who will share the driving with her. After much separation, and some connecting by zoom and email, it was a joy to see one another in person, as our last gathering had been March 14th, 2020, the day on which Massachusetts went into voluntary stay-at-home. God is good. All the time!”
