Future Leaders of Botswana

Sister Dot Jackson shares the following report from Botswana.

On the Feast of John the Baptist, I rode with Sisters Bibiana and Philomina to St. Mary’s Pre – School in Lobatse. There were 57 children 3 year to 4 year olds who presented a musical program for me. Trevor, a 4 year old, led the opening prayer which was the Our Father followed by the sign of the cross. Teacher Palesa was the MC followed by a welcoming speech by Amanda. Then the children began with three songs from the older girls followed by the middle age girls. The next group was the older boys. The last group was the youngest girls and boys.

The final presentation was a session called Know Africa where the oldest girls and boys held a flag and recited information about the different countries on the continent of Africa. The final group sang the School Song.

I thanked the Sister Bibiana and Sister Philomina, students and the teachers for the work they did in preparing such a wonderful program.
