The Nosa Delhi unit had its first social service act at Seelampur on March 19. Dr. Nimish (Nosa member), his wife, Dr. Silvia, Dr. Jagan (their co-worker), Manoj (their assistant) conducted the dental camp at Nazareth Mahila Samiti, in one of the Muslim dominated slums in Delhi.

‘Dr. Reddy’s Lab’ (Company) and Mr. Swayam Prakash Tiwari, a company representative and NOSA member sponsored and gave toothpaste and toothbrushes to the 83 children who had the dental checkup. A huge banner on the dental camp decorated the outside space of a narrow three-floor building that Sister Ann Moyalan, SCN, has rented for her ministry work at Seelampur. The staff and a few neighbors also had their dental checkup.

The doctors and the sponsors assured cooperation in Sister Ann’s work and have promised to donate 100 toothpaste tubes every month for a whole year.

Dr. Nimish and his wife, Dr. Silvia presented a cheque for Rs. 10,000 towards the charitable works of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth – the first official cheque from the Nosa Delhi unit to Sister Cassilda Castell. “This is just a token of our partnership with the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth”, said Rajeev Kumar, Delhi Nosa Secretary.

The president, Neetu Singh, treasurer, Ajay Mehta and members, Ruby Sinha, Suresh Badhani and few others were present for the dental camp which proved to be a promising beginning for the Delhi Nosa unit.
