Flood affected families attend Agriculture training

Sister Rosita Kavilpurayidathil and Navjyoti Center have been successful in conducting training for high value crops in Guptipur Village under the Birendranagar Municipality. This village has been very badly affected by the flood of August 2014. For 22 weeks farmer field schools were conducted on various crops such as cucumbers, bitter gourds, snake gourds, bottle gourds, pumpkins, tomatoes and beans. The attendees learned to produce more crops at lower costs. They are determined to make agriculture a business for themselves to provide income. View more photos.
